GTA 6 confirmed features: everything Rockstar has actually announced
Everything Rockstar, Take-Two and the platform stores have officially established about GTA VI, kept separate from what outlets and fans have reported.

It is set in Vice City and the state of Leonida, stars two playable leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and launches as a single-player game. Rockstar has shown it in three trailers and a 26-minute gameplay video.

An Extended Look, Rockstar’s 26-minute gameplay video from August 27, 2026, is the best source on how the game plays. Outlets that broke it down describe control switching between Jason and Lucia, a slow-motion aiming ability, a Red Dead Redemption 2-style interaction menu, branded weapons, a minimap with 3D buildings, lock-picking to steal cars, and activities from scuba diving and airboats to races, a shooting range and the gym (Kotaku, Dexerto).
Those are things seen in Rockstar’s own footage, but the descriptions are the outlets’ own, which is why they are attributed rather than listed above.

Map size, a property market, fast travel, full vehicle and weapon lists, a PC release date and any future online mode have not been announced. Several are widely assumed because of series precedent. Precedent is a reasonable basis for expectation and a poor basis for a guide.

- Single-player at launch. No online mode has been announced, and GTA Online continues.
