GTA 6 pre-orders open: $79.99, Ultimate Edition $99.99, and no disc in the box
Take-Two set GTA 6 at $79.99, with a $99.99 Ultimate Edition, opened pre-orders on June 25, and confirmed that boxed copies contain a download code rather than a disc.
© Rockstar GamesRockstar and Take-Two announced on June 24, 2026 that GTA VI pre-orders would open at midnight local time on June 25. The game costs $79.99. The Ultimate Edition, which adds vehicles, weapons, outfits and missions, costs $99.99 and is digital only.
Every pre-order and purchase before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also get a month of GTA+. Digital buyers can pre-load from November 12.
The surprise was the physical edition. The box contains a download code, not a disc, and Rockstar’s store says plainly that a disc will not be included. Boxed copies are available from November 12 so that physical buyers can pre-load too.
The announcement also described GTA VI as a single-player experience.
