GTA 6 Trailer 2
Official video by Rockstar Games, 2 minutes 47 seconds.Watch on YouTube
GTA 6 Trailer 2 came out on May 6, 2025. The 2 minute 47 second trailer set up the story, and the GTA VI website update that came with it gave the leads their full names, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar says the trailer was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5, half gameplay and half cutscenes.
What it revealed
- Rockstar’s description: captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5, in equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.
- Full names for both leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, on Rockstar’s site the same day.
- Rockstar’s site added profiles of six supporting characters the same day: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.
- Leonida beyond Vice City got names: the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.
- Set to “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters.
- It arrived four days after Rockstar moved the game to May 26, 2026. The date has since moved again, to November 19, 2026.
Our take
Trailer 1 was mostly about Lucia and the mood of Vice City. Trailer 2 is where the story takes shape. Jason gets an introduction of his own, the couple are clearly working together, and the official description lays out the premise that every later video has built on: an easy score that goes wrong.
It also showed how much of Leonida lies outside the city. Alongside the trailer, Rockstar’s site added a profile for each region: the islands of the Keys, the Grassrivers wetlands, run-down Port Gellhorn, the refinery town of Ambrosia and the national park at Mount Kalaga.
Its most useful line was the capture note. Rockstar said the whole trailer was in-game footage from a PS5, half gameplay and half cutscenes, which answered a lot of “is this real?” questions.
